Facing Forward Foundation is a private, 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit volunteer medical organization providing reconstructive surgery and related services to children born with facial deformities such as severe skull abnormalities, facial clefts, and absence of an ear or nose.
200,000 U.S. children are born each year with facial deformities.
Over 700 new children come to the UCLA Craniofacial Center each year.
Last year, 3 area clinics closed, leaving the UCLA Craniofacial Center the only resource in the area for families.
Patients approach the clinic through Facing Forward Foundation from all over the U.S. and all over the world.
Many patients are waiting for their surgeries to be sponsored.
